Something Like Retablos

When I demolished the shingled, rotting garage, built in 1918, in order to build myself a studio, I salvaged several dozen tin litho plates that had been used for roof repairs. When I later became interested in the forms & functions of Mexican retablos, I remembered that I did actually have some tin I could clean up, hammer flat, cut down & use to paint my own.

Did you paint that, Scott? You probably considered it a retablo because it shows a married couple! Marriage is a Catholic rite which bonds two people with God. You should try to paint more! :D
